Toshiyuki Morikawa Voiced Two Fathers Who Sacrificed Themselves in the Same Season

Sometimes anime seasons bring us coincidences that seem planned. I can’t recall other examples right now, but I know it has happened before, including in the last season.
Two extremely popular animes from the last season were Demon Slayer with its 4th season and Mushoku Tensei II. What do these two animes have in common? Men who sacrificed themselves at the end of the seasons.
Toshiyuki Morikawa Voiced Two Fathers Who Sacrificed Themselves in the Same Season
It seems like a plot coincidence, but it happens that both men who sacrificed themselves have the same voice actor: Toshiyuki Morikawa.
Toshiyuki Morikawa voices Paul, the father of Rudeus, Norn, and Aisha in Mushoku Tensei. As we know, he ends up dying while protecting Rudeus from a Hydra attack in the Dungeon Labyrinth.
Morikawa also voices Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the leader of the demon slayers in Demon Slayer. In the last episode, he not only sacrifices himself but also his entire family to damage Muzan, in an amazing scene animated by Ufotable.
Isn’t it incredible when these coincidences happen in animes of the same season? I confess that I didn’t realize Paul and Ubuyashiki had the same voice actor until I found out, as I find their voices so different.
