The artwork in question was created by Nakaki Pantz and features a woman in a swimming pool reading a book titled Morinaga, wearing beach attire, with the Morinaga product, Ice Box, displayed near her.

The issue that some Twitter users have raised is that the woman’s beverage covers a portion of her body, giving the illustration an adult connotation and becoming the subject of complaints.

One criticism is that Morinaga’s Ice Box is a popular product among children. This image has sparked a curious case where Hironori Ito, a university professor and film critic, became enthusiastic about the artwork and conducted a detailed analysis of the illustration.

He received such backlash for it that he deleted his Twitter profile. Currently, Morinaga has not backed down in response to the criticisms and has not removed the campaign illustration, which has already surpassed 1 million views.
