The series was filmed on Shoudo Island, located in Kagawa Prefecture, the very place that inspired the settings seen in the previously released anime adaptation.
Actress Rui Tsukishima has received high praise for her seemingly spot-on performance, capturing the expressions and playful antics that accurately reflect the personality of the series’ leading heroine.
We have comments like: “This Takagi-san is simply lovely,” “Where were these cute girls when I was in school?” “I’m afraid 3D Takagi will tease me,” and “I wish to be teased by her.”
The Takagi-san live-action series is scheduled for release on Netflix in March 2024, and it’s not yet clear whether it will be available globally on its Japanese release date or if we’ll have to wait for a few weeks to see all the episodes. We will surely have more information on this soon.
In the meantime, you can read here about how the Takagi-san manga concluded.
