Problems at the Too Many Losing Heroines Real School

Problems at the Too Many Losing Heroines Real School

Problems at the Too Many Losing Heroines Real School! With only one episode aired so far, Too Many Losing Heroines has already caught the attention of many people for its excellent first episode. Although I haven’t posted about it here, I’ve seen Japanese fans commenting that the episode’s quality is “cinematic.” One otaku even said, “This anime should be shown on the big screen.”

Problems at the Too Many Losing Heroines Real School

In case you didn’t know, the light novel’s author revealed in an interview years ago that Too Many Losing Heroines is based on a real location. He used a city as the setting for his story, and the school we see in the anime is based on a real school.

The problem is that, apparently, there have already been cases of anime fans visiting the Too Many Losing Heroines Real School and causing disturbances. The anime’s official account posted the following notice:

Aviso oficial sobre visitas não autorizadas à escola

“We would like to inform you that, regarding Aichi Prefectural Jishukan High School, which has been assisting us with research for this work, we strongly request that you avoid acts that may cause inconvenience to students, school members, and area residents, such as entering school property without permission, especially by individuals unrelated to the institution.

If anyone is found engaging in such acts or similar actions, teachers and other school staff may approach them to take appropriate measures.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the safety of the students and the protection of privacy.”

The light novel’s original author also asked for people’s cooperation:

Official notice about unauthorized visits to the school

“Please follow the rules and avoid entering places without permission, taking photos, or using locations for purposes other than permitted.”

Fan Reactions

Apparently, with just one episode of Too Many Losing Heroines, there are already people wanting to visit the locations that inspired the anime, and worse, they are disturbing the people who use these places. Japanese fans reacted to the notice as follows:

Too many losing heroines Ep 1

  • “I knew this kind of notice would eventually be necessary.”
  • “Even if they don’t enter the property, wandering around the school is also inappropriate.”
  • “If you want to make a pilgrimage to this ‘sacred place,’ you will have to enroll or enroll your children in the school.”
  • “It seems there will always be idiots of this type.”
  • “When it was just a novel, it was fine, but when it gets adapted into a visual work, the number of fans increases, and many people want to take photos exactly in the same setting.”
  • “It’s a type of content tourism terrorism committed by some out-of-control otakus. These idiots go just to satisfy their desire for approval. When adapting works to visual format, they should use other public facilities, fictional buildings, universities, or already demolished buildings, where they won’t bother students and others related to the school.”
  • “This should be common sense… it’s pitiful.”
  • “When something becomes popular, there are always people like this. Don’t they think about valuing the work they like?”
  • “Even if the place wasn’t the model, this should be obvious…”
  • “When something attracts attention, this kind of notice is necessary. I don’t think there has been any concrete damage yet, but…”

It’s hard to change this behavior, but still, it’s incredible that with just one episode, this kind of case has already occurred.
