Dengeki Bunko revealed that all three volumes of the Shine Post light novel will be reprinted. Originally released between 2021 and 2022, the announcement was celebrated by author Rakuda on Twitter:

“It’s a story from a while ago, but seeing it get reprinted makes me really happy. If the numbers go up, maybe I can write a sequel or a spin-off. I’d truly love to do that.”

But why are light novels from 2022 suddenly getting a reprint? Did fan interest return out of nowhere? Most likely, yes—since a new Shine Post game is launching for the Nintendo Switch 2 this June!

Shine Post: Be Your Idol is set to release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5 in Japan. Thanks to the new game, the publisher likely saw the perfect timing to bring back the light novel.
