Fans are Going Crazy over the Possible Pokémon Legends Ship Confirmation
Yesterday, a Pokémon Presents event took place in the morning, unveiling new announcements such as the release date for Detective Pikachu Returns, additional information about various Pokémon tournaments, and the likely confirmation that a highly desired ship among fans might indeed have set sail.
Fans are Going Crazy over the Possible Pokémon Legends Ship Confirmation
For those who, like me, have never played Pokémon Legends Arceus (although I had to read an extensive summary of the game to write this post), there are two characters in the game that fans ship fervently.
Adaman, the leader of the Diamond clan, and Irida, the leader of the Pearl clan:
In the game’s storyline, they lead rival clans, leading to frequent clashes. However, as the game progresses, they develop a more amicable relationship. The classic “Enemies turned lovers” scenario.
Yet, since this is Pokémon, and Pokémon doesn’t focus on romance, from what I gathered from the summary, their story ends with them being friends only. Nevertheless, this ship has a strong following, especially in the Japanese community.
And yesterday, with the Pokémon Presents event, those who ship them are going wild!
Adaman and Irida a Thing?
Apparently, we have evidence that these two got cozy! Details about the new DLCs for the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games were revealed, introducing a new character named Perrin:
She’s a photographer searching for a specific Pokémon but loses her memory in the game. She strongly resembles Adaman! Fans quickly noted the similarities between her and Adaman, as well as Irida!
Numerous images comparing Perrin with Adaman and Irida were crafted, including the obvious hair color similarity, Perrin’s name ending with an “N” just like Adaman, and the hair and skin tones of Perrin, which are reminiscent of Irida.
It’s nearly certain that Perrin is Adaman’s descendant. Let’s not forget that Pokémon Legends is set in the past, so Perrin’s presence confirms that indeed, Adaman and Irida must have ended up together.

“Hold on, are you saying they mated?”
“They had canonical intercourse? Incredible.”
“Oh, Irida and Adaman had a child.”
“I’m sure the community will handle this character in a civilized and normal manner.”
