Note that the game in question is Steins;Gate: My Darling’s Embrace, which was released in 2012. The prosecution alleged that his video uploads caused significant harm to the copyright holders.

During his trial, the man who uploaded Steins Gate videos was found guilty and sentenced to 2 years in prison with a suspended sentence of 5 years. This means he won’t go to jail but will face various restrictions and a fine of 1 million yen.

He was also convicted of uploading videos of the anime Spy x Family on YouTube, even though these videos were edited.

The defense countered, claiming that the defendant’s actions were not particularly malicious and requested a suspended sentence.
