Japanese users Encounter Onahole Ad on Youtube
First of all, what is an Onahole? The name Onahole comes from the words “onna” (Japanese for woman) and “hole” (English for hole). With such a suggestive name, you probably already have an idea of what it is.
As you may know, it’s a product aimed at adult men, so it’s not the kind of thing that should be openly shown to people. However, many Japanese individuals unexpectedly encountered Onahole ads on YouTube!

“YouTube has started showing ads of an Onahole… No, I don’t need to worry about my size; that’s not the issue here.”
“YouTube thinks that Cloud being massaged in FF7 is obscene enough to ban, but now they’re showing Onahole ads… I really don’t understand.”
“YouTube is displaying Onahole ads? How did this pass through the screening?” It’s safe to say that social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Adsense have rules, and it’s necessary for the platform to approve advertisements before they are displayed to the public.
“I think YouTube not banning ads of Onahole as taboo is a good test, but the fact that any ASMR or slightly more revealing videos are quickly banned, so showing this ad highlights double standards. ASMR and ecchi videos should be allowed.”
These ads began to appear around August 15th. When investigating the origin of the commercial and the product, it was discovered that it was a Chinese product. According to the Shupure News website, advertisements for Chinese products have been proliferating on the internet in recent years, including ads for adult products.
