Creator of Bad Girl Anime Suggests Watching Until Episode 5
The Bad Girl anime premiered recently, introducing viewers to a charming and comical take on a girl who wants to be seen as a delinquent. Although the manga is not officially labeled as yuri, it radiates strong girls’ love energy that fans are already loving.
In the first episode, we meet Yuu, a small and adorable girl who wants to catch the attention of Atori, the strict and elegant head of the discipline committee. To stand out, Yuu tries to act like a “bad girl,” but her efforts only end up being cute rather than rebellious. Her close friend Suzu, who looks more like a real delinquent, gets frustrated seeing Yuu so focused on Atori instead of her.
Though the anime starts as a light comedy, Bad Girl anime is more than it initially appears—especially if you give it the time to grow.
Creator of Bad Girl Anime Suggests Watching Until Episode 5
In a rare and candid post on social media, the original author of Bad Girl encouraged fans to stick around until at least episode 5. He explained:
“I really hope people will watch Bad Girl until episode 5…! Up to episode 4, I was still figuring things out as I had just started drawing the manga. But from episode 5—based on volume 2—I had found my groove and things really pick up!”
This insight reveals that the anime’s first four episodes adapt volume 1 of the manga, a stage when the author was still discovering the story’s direction. From episode 5 onward, things begin to escalate in both pacing and character development.
It’s now expected that Bad Girl anime will adapt the first three volumes:
-
Episodes 1–4 = Volume 1
-
Episodes 5–8 = Volume 2
-
Episodes 9–12 = Volume 3
Here’s what fans have been saying after episode 1:
-
“It’s pretty common for manga to feel uncertain early on.”
-
“It’s rare for a creator to be this honest.”
-
“Kirara anime adaptations never miss!”
-
“I already loved it from episode 1—I don’t need to wait until 5!”
-
“This is officially the best anime for thigh fans.”
-
“More and more anime now start with characters already having some established relationships.”
-
“First time I’ve ever seen a manga author say something like this.”
-
“Episode 1 flew by—it was so much fun, I feel like the whole show will be over in a flash. I’m going to savor every moment!”
So, will you give Bad Girl anime a proper chance and stick with it until episode 5?
