Animeflix “Voluntarily” Shut Down After Legal Pressures

Site Pirata de Anime Animeflix fechou de forma "Voluntária"

With millions of visits per month, Animeflix has been voluntarily shut down. It is known that the site has been under pressure from companies in recent months, which greatly complicated their situation.

Last year, the ACE listed Animeflix as one of the targets for their operation to shut down pirate sites. In May, a court decision in India shut down the site’s main domain, which was Animeflix.live.

However, this had no effect, as the site soon returned with the domains Animeflix.gg and Animeflix.li. This week, however, Animeflix became inaccessible to users, and the worst news for those who used the site came via Discord.

Site Pirata de Anime Animeflix fechou de forma "Voluntária"

“Dear Animeflix community,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Animeflix. After careful consideration, we have decided to shut down our service immediately. We deeply appreciate your support and enthusiasm over the years.

Thank you for being part of our journey. We hope the joy and excitement of anime continue to brighten your days through other wonderful platforms.”

Their message does not specify the reason for the site’s closure, but there is an interesting coincidence in their shutdown. Animeflix was hosted on the Hungarian server ServerAstra, which was the same hosting used by the MagnetDL site, which also went offline mysteriously last week.

It may just be a coincidence, but it is something to consider. Obviously, the site’s fans were not happy, and lamenting comments can be read. However, due to the site’s great popularity, it is possible that a new Animeflix will emerge at some point, managed by other people.
