New Magic Knight Rayearth Anime Announced
The official Twitter profile of the CLAMP group unexpectedly announced a new Magic Knight Rayearth anime, without giving details as to whether it will be a TV series, film, etc.
A visual and promotional video were released, the PV shows scenes from the original anime that was broadcast between 1994 and 1995.

The story of Magic Knight Rayearth revolves around 3 schoolgirls, their names are Hikaru, Umi and Fuu. During a school trip to Tokyo Tower, the 3 (who are from different schools) are transported to a different world called Cephiro.
They are welcomed by Clef who tells them that the world is dying after Zagato kidnapped the Princess, and she is the one who maintains the status of the world, without her Cephiro is about to collapse.
Receiving magical powers, Hikaru, Umi and Fuu begin to work together to survive and save Cephiro.
The Magic Knight Rayearth manga was published between 1993 and 1996 and had a total of 6 volumes, two anime seasons were shown, the first premiered in October 1994 and the second in November 1995.
