Vtuber Veibae Reveals VShojo CEO Was Jealous of Hololive

Vtuber Veibae Reveals VShojo CEO Was Jealous of Hololive

Following the recent collapse of VShojo, Vtuber Veibae broke her silence now that NDAs are no longer in effect. In a long and emotional tweet, she detailed the reasons behind her departure from the agency—and didn’t hold back.

One of the most shocking revelations was about how VShojo, especially CEO Gunrun, would constantly badmouth rival VTuber agencies, with a particular fixation on Hololive.

“They would ALWAYS shit talk other VTuber agencies… especially Hololive. It literally lived rent-free in Gunrun’s head. They were convinced Hololive was over when they signed Kson and Nazuna.”

This statement adds new context to past claims that VShojo saw itself as a “disruptive force” in the VTuber world. According to Veibae, the leadership genuinely believed they could surpass Hololive—a belief that now seems delusional given VShojo’s collapse.

VShojo Tried to Lock Veibae Into a Predatory Contract

Veibae said that in 2023, she was pushed into signing what she called “one of the most predatory contracts” she’d ever seen. When she tried to ask questions about the terms, the COO allegedly became hostile, prompting her to hire a lawyer.

The contract demanded that she surrender over half of her sponsor revenue and more than 60% of her merch sales, including a cut from sponsors she was already managing through Mythic Talent. When she refused, she was treated like she was “disposable.”

She also revealed that:

  • She was forced to sign an NDA preventing her from explaining her departure to other talents.

  • VShojo monitored her streams and Discord and threatened legal action if she hinted at her dissatisfaction.

  • They announced her and Silvervale’s departure on the same day to minimize PR damage.

No Payment for Sponsors and a $10K Debt?

Adding insult to injury, Veibae claims she never got paid for multiple sponsorships and, even after leaving, had to pay back $10,000 for anniversary assets that were incomplete.

To this day, she says the agency has not reimbursed her fully, despite all the profits she generated under their banner.

Toxic Workplace Allegations and Internal Chaos

Veibae also exposed a number of troubling issues within VShojo:

  • Their company lawyer had an expired law license, yet he was the main legal contact for the talents.

  • Staff ghosting and being fired for not working—after being told not to.

  • MTD, a staff member, was allegedly reprimanded for being inappropriate toward talents.

  • Internal drama and efforts to pit VTubers against one another to optimize viewership overlap.

  • Multiple streamers confirmed that MTD trashed her reputation at private events after her departure.

A Culture of Denial and Deflection

Perhaps most revealing was the narrative control. Veibae said VShojo spread false claims that she left to join OTK and labeled her and Silvervale as troublemakers. Even Nyanners, who also wanted to leave at the time, was allegedly told to stay because it didn’t fit the company’s preferred storyline.

Fans who once idolized these VTubers turned on them, calling them “greedy” and “betrayers.” Veibae describes that period as one of the most painful in her career.

Veibae, Silvervale, and Nyanners Move Forward

Despite all the turmoil, Veibae, Silvervale, and Nyanners have moved on and rebuilt their careers as independent creators. Veibae ended her post by thanking fans who gave them the benefit of the doubt.

“Thank you for sticking with me, Silver, and Nyan when we needed it most.”
