Tomoe Tamiyasu’s Project Canceled Due to Eroge Voice Acting
Tomoe Tamiyasu is a well-known Japanese voice actress and singer, recognized in the industry for her roles in anime and adult games. You might not immediately recognize her by name, but if you’ve watched the anime H Overflow, Tamiyasu is the voice behind Ayane Shirakawa. She has also voiced characters like Rin Natsume in Little Busters and Makina Irisu in Grisaia.
Tomoe Tamiyasu’s Project Canceled Due to Eroge Voice Acting
So, what happened? Tamiyasu had a VTuber model that was set to be transformed into plush toys for her followers. Check out the VTuber model of the artist below.
Unfortunately, the project was canceled because of her association with the adult anime and eroge industry. The artist took to Twitter to share her feelings and explained that she received the following message:
“VTuber Tammy is not related to adult content, but since her soul, Tomoe Tamiyasu, is an eroge voice actress, it was deemed inappropriate.”
What makes this situation even more frustrating is that the plush toy project for her VTuber model wasn’t rejected from the start. Months of meetings and preparations had gone into production for a special occasion.
Tamiyasu expressed that if the project had been rejected at the beginning due to her work in eroges, she would have understood. The sudden cancellation came as a huge shock to the artist.
While she doesn’t harbor anger about the rejection due to her involvement in eroges and understands that it happens frequently, Tamiyasu was deeply hurt by the sudden cancellation, especially since she was so excited about it.
