Tappei Nagatsuki, a long-time fan of visual novels, expressed his excitement about finally writing a full-length project in the format. Although he previously collaborated on a crossover event scenario for Princess Connect! Re:DIVE, Monochrome Serenade visual novel marks his first major solo project in the genre.
In a tweet, Tappei said:
“In partnership with Laplacian, I’ll be in charge of the scenario for a visual novel planned for 2026! Some of you may already know that I, Nagatsuki, am a fan of visual novels, and now finally! I’ll be writing one as work! With all my gratitude for the visual novels that exist, I’ll do my very best!”
The Monochrome Serenade visual novel is expected to be around 10 hours long and will feature original art by Pellet and Shimofuri. There are no further details yet on gameplay or characters, but the released visual already has fans intrigued.
