Light Novel Koi to Noroi to Sekai plagiarized Inakunare Gunjou

Light Novel Koi to Noroi to Sekai plagiarized Inakunare Gunjou

We have here a case of controversy in the light novel industry, it has been confirmed that the light novel Koi to Noroi to Sekai o horobosu kaijuu no hanashi, which is written by Sagara Sou (author of Hentai Ouji), plagiarized content from another light novel.

Koi to Noroi to Sekai o horobosu kaijuu no hanashi was released this year by MF Bunko J, the same company that publishes mega hits like Re:Zero and Classroom of the Elite.

The latest light novel from the author of Hentai Ouji is the light novel below, Koi to Noroi to Sekai o horobosu kaijuu no hanashi:

Koi to Noroi to Sekai o horobosu kaijuu no hanashi

What happened is that excerpts from the light novel above were the same as excerpts from Inakunare Gunjou, by Kono Yutaka, from what I saw, only a few lines were copied but that was enough for the publisher to apologize and collect the material.

Kono Yutaka posted on his profile that as long as he receives an apology and an acceptable explanation of what happened, he will just let the case go. But regardless of what he said, MF Bunko J has already made its decision.

Sagara’s official explanation is that he ended up jotting down phrases he liked while reading another book, and ended up not giving credit, it was Sagara himself who reported the unintentional plagiarism.

He said that he was browsing the internet looking for feedback on his light novel and realized that the sentences were the same as Inakunare Gunjou’s, so he contacted his publisher himself to report the case.
