Illustrator Pen proves she doesn’t use AI with Her Thighs
Pen is a female illustrator who is already well known on this site. We’ve previously introduced her and how she uses real photos of herself as references for her illustrations. However, she has not escaped accusations of using AI.
This is not the first controversy Pen has been involved in. Previously, she was criticized for creating an artwork featuring a “transparent skirt,” similar to the one that led to the cancellation of a collaboration with Love Live years ago.
Now, she has been receiving heavy criticism for “allegedly using AI.” Pen even created an illustration depicting her reaction to the various comments she receives, such as:
- “This drawing looks AI-generated.”
- “Just because it’s drawn by a woman, does that mean it’s real?”
- “Another man pretending to be a woman and using AI to fool otakus?”
- “The fingers look weird, it must be AI.”
In the image, the illustrator reacts with: “So that’s it… I’m an AI?”

However, Pen once again decided to prove that she is a real woman and that her art comes from references of her own photos—by showcasing a picture highlighting her thighs!
Right next to it, she posted an illustration based on her photo, further proving that she takes her own pictures to use as references for her drawings—just as she had demonstrated before.
Her post was captioned: “To those accusing me of using AI, I’m the type of illustrator who uses my own photos as reference material.” Her original post amassed over 12 million views and undoubtedly attracted many new fans.
Even so, some still doubted her, as seen in the comment below:
“Even with a big chest and thick legs, why is the waist so thin? How is this anime body type even created…?”
Yeah… there’s no winning, huh?
