Fans Discover That Fate’s Creator Is Running A Charity To Feed Children
Fate Series Developer TYPE-MOON Gains Attention After Fans Discover Its Charity Work to Feed Children. In the past couple of days, TYPE-MOON, the developer behind the Fate and Tsukihime series, has been making headlines in Japan for something entirely different from their acclaimed visual novel games – their humanitarian efforts.
According to Inside Games, TYPE-MOON (officially known as Notes Co., LTD) quietly established a charity organization named “Notes’ Healthy Children’s Foundation” (unofficial translation) back in April of last year. This initiative has recently come to light among the company’s fans, resulting in a wave of surprised and impressed reactions on social media.

The Notes’ Healthy Children’s Foundation supports the operation of “children’s cafeterias” in Japan. These volunteer-run public cafeterias provide free or very low-cost nutritious meals for children. In addition to supporting the basic operations of these cafeterias across Japan’s Chiba prefecture, TYPE-MOON also offers subsidies for purchasing games and manga, aiming to make these facilities “places for educational support” for children.
The foundation’s board includes TYPE-MOON’s CEO Kunihiro Nasu (better known as Kinoko Nasu) and, interestingly, the CEO of anime production company Aniplex.
On a related note, Koei Tecmo, the developer of Ninja Gaiden, made headlines last month by setting up a foundation for children from single-mother households.
