Unrealistic Illustration Controversy receives Cosplay and manga Seitokai nimo ana wa aru wins Reprint

We previously posted here about an illustration that manga artist Maro Muchi made and posted on his Twitter profile, the illustration showed a woman in her 30s with her bra open and pants while looking for unexpired food in her fridge.

The illustration ended up being the target of some nasty comments, who claimed that this is an unrealistic situation, that no woman in the world would do such a thing and that the illustrator needed to be introduced to a woman.

Check out the illustration below:

As in the case of the illustration of “Happy Girlfriend at Saizeriya”, which at the time also raised a huge discussion about “taking a woman to a cheap place like Saizeriya”, being heavily criticized but which later generated cosplays, this illustration by the teacher The 30-year-old has also spawned her first cosplay.

Inamori Miyuu, who has more than 100,000 followers on Twitter, cosplayed and so far has gained more than 20,000 likes, see how it turned out:

If this was an “unreal situation”, it just came true, even if it was to cosplay. In a later comment, Miyuu says that her hair can be secured with a clothespin, and that if you unbutton her bra it looks just like the illustration, so it’s possible to recreate her.

She adds: “You’re free to draw whatever you want, right?”, obviously giving a nudge to all the people who criticized the original illustration.

Even so, she received some nasty comments after Miyuu recreated the cosplay as you can see in the screenshots below:

Basically the comments above are saying that she wants to get attention from men and stuff like that by doing this cosplay.

Maro Muchi’s manga Seitokai nimo ana wa aru is being reprinted!

Does it have something to do with all the controversy? Maro Muchi is a mangaka, who is publishing a manga called “Seitokai nimo ana wa aru”, volume 1 of the manga was released a short time ago but it has already been announced that it is being reprinted as it is difficult to find copies in stores.

The illustration that generated all the controversy was published on September 18th, and the reprint was announced on September 20th

Was it because of the controversy that fans came to support the author and bought his manga? Anyway, glad it’s selling a lot.
