Conflict Revealed between Tsumugu Otome Author and Manga Time Kirara
The Manga Time Kirara is a well-known magazine for publishing manga about cute girls engaging in adorable activities. It’s in Kirara that we find mega-popular anime series like Bocchi the Rock, Blend S, New Game, Yuru Camp, and more.
Chiune, the author of Tsumugu Otome to Taishou no Tsuki, has shared a statement on her Twitter profile explaining the reason for the postponement of the new chapter of her manga.
Conflict Revealed between Tsumugu Otome Author and Manga Time Kirara
In her statement, the author of Tsumugu Otome reveals that there won’t be a new chapter of her manga this month due to a conflict with Manga Time Kirara, specifically involving the editorial department of the magazine.
While she hasn’t disclosed the exact cause of the conflict, she clarified that it’s not an issue with her personal editor and there’s no possibility of the manga being canceled. Below, you can read her full statement:
“I have an announcement to make to my readers before the release of [Manga Time Kirara] Carat at the end of this month. Due to an event that has shaken the trust between myself and the Kirara editorial department, I have decided not to include Tsumugu Otome to Taishou no Tsuki in this month’s issue.
This is not due to any mismanagement by my direct editor at Kirara, nor is it a problem related to the continuation of my manga.
I’m making this statement because I wanted to let you know that the manuscript itself has been completed, and I have decided not to publish it in this month’s issue.
The preview of the next issue lists Tsumugu Otome to Taishou no Tsuki as having full-color pages. However, due to the emotional distress caused by this incident, I cannot say for sure if this will happen or not.
For my dear readers, for the efforts of my editor, and also for a resolution to this matter, I’m hoping to publish two chapters next month: the one that was not published this month and the one that was originally scheduled to be published next month.
Also, please understand that I cannot discuss the details of what happened.”
Synopsis of Tsumugu Otome to Taishou no Tsuki
As mentioned earlier, the author Chiune writes the manga Tsumugu Otome to Taishou no Tsuki, a comedy slice-of-life that portrays the story of Tsugumu. After an earthquake, Tsugumu wakes up and finds herself in Ginza, in the year 1921!
Lost and confused, she’s rescued by Itsuki, the daughter of a duke, and together they attend a girls-only school. Thus, the manga unfolds Tsugumu’s life as a girl from the future living in 1921.
