Impressive Dedication in Planning an R18 Manga by the Author
In 2022, we showcased the work of artist Asakawa, who plans his manga by writing on paper, outlining the story and scenes for his upcoming titles. In many cases, he ends up writing on multiple pages.
As we can see in his latest Fanbox post (which is open for this type of content), Asakawa shared two photos showing everything he wrote for the 5th edition of his manga, “Natsu no Yari Naoshi.”
Do you see all the papers above and everything written on them? It’s the entire planning for Volume 5 of “Natsu no Yari Naoshi.” Asakawa mentioned that he has enough ideas for the 5th volume to have 200 pages.
It’s really cool to see an author dedicating so much effort to conceptualize their story, how it will unfold, and then work on the illustrations. Especially considering it’s an R18 manga!
Impressive Dedication in Planning an R18 Manga by the Author
“Natsu no Yari Naoshi” is an R18 manga, and Asakawa is an adult content author! Given this fact, his dedication becomes even more impressive. And with each volume, “Natsu no Yari Naoshi” keeps getting longer in terms of page count!
The first volume of “Natsu no Yari Naoshi” has 84 pages, the second has 94 pages, the third edition has 112 pages, and the fourth ended up with 143 pages! So with each edition, Asakawa is increasing the number of pages in “Natsu no Yari Naoshi”!
The story revolves around a boy named Keito, who lived in the countryside and had two childhood friends, Suiren and Aoi. He decides to move to the big city and returns to the countryside after a few years. He likes both sisters, and they like him, but no one has ever had the courage to say anything until now…
So far, he has been involved with the younger sister, the older sister, and the mother of the two!
