They suspect that the Slayer Illustrator used AI
Some people suspect that the Slayers Illustrator used AI in a new illustration of Lina, who is the protagonist of the series. And now what’s going on? Well, there are people wanting him to say whether he used AI or not.
Araizumi Rui is the illustrator of the Slayers light novel, which is a famous light novel series released in 1989 and which has won anime and several adaptations.
Araizumi Rui has a very characteristic art that is easy to distinguish his style from other more common illustrators, to give you an idea, this is his recent art from the series:
Now for the art of controversy.
They suspect that the Slayer Illustrator used AI
Recently Araizumi Rui published this art on his profile, which is of Lina from the Slayers series and you can see that it’s a different style of drawing than he usually does:
So there are some people suspicious that he is using AI to make his new illustrations. It got to the point where some people asked the illustrator to say if he used AI or not.
“This style is the same as AI, isn’t it?”
“It’s ok for him to say he used AI”
“Looks like AI”
“In the end, it’s a tool professionals use to make their jobs easier”
Did it get to the point where a person put the image on a website that apparently identifies if an art was made by AI? I didn’t even know such a site existed!
In my opinion, Lina’s illustration is extremely cute, I don’t see a problem with illustrators using AI to create illustrations of their characters and maybe using AI to help them create results they like.
