If you’re a fan of anime cosplay, you’ll love this official Shiunji-ke Sisters cosplay project that brought together some of Japan’s most popular cosplayers to embody the characters from Shiunji-ke no Kodomotachi—an anime that wrapped up during the Spring 2025 season.
The series, from the same creator behind Rent-A-Girlfriend, follows a chaotic and romantic household where several siblings discover they’re not actually related by blood. With that revelation, some of the sisters begin developing feelings for their “brother,” leading to romantic rivalries and heartfelt drama.
Meet the Characters Behind the Shiunji-ke Sisters Cosplay
In March 2025, a fully official Shiunji-ke Sisters cosplay campaign was launched to promote the anime. The project recreated the anime’s main visuals with five well-known cosplayers portraying the central characters
Here are the cosplayers and who they played:
Enako, widely considered Japan’s most famous cosplayer, portrayed Ouka, the calm and composed sister.
Umi Shinonome, who gained massive attention after cosplaying characters from NIKKE, played Seiha, the quiet and mysterious sister.
Shinozaki Kokoro took on Minami, the athletic and energetic member of the family.
Eiri portrayed Kotono, the youngest sister—and, spoiler alert, the first to confess her feelings to the older brother.
Finally, Takami, a self-proclaimed fan of Rent-A-Girlfriend, became Banri, the eldest sister.
The official Shiunji-ke Sisters cosplay set is visually stunning, with every detail carefully crafted to match the anime’s style. From poses to costumes, the shoot captures the personalities and charm of each character.
Is the Anime Worth Watching?
Yes! Shiunji-ke no Kodomotachi might not be for everyone due to its controversial premise, but it’s surprisingly engaging. The romantic plotlines kick off quickly, the pacing is smooth, and the emotional buildup doesn’t overstay its welcome. It’s a fun ride with a bit of chaos and a lot of heart.
