What happened?
The live stream was happening on the Twitch channel of Corner2Corner, which was hosting a Street Fighter 6 tournament. 96 matches were scheduled to take place that day, and this incident occurred during the 7th match.
As soon as the match begins, you can see that both players barely move their characters because they noticed that something someone should be wearing was missing.
The commentators were taken aback, with one of them saying, “Interesting costume for Chun Li.” The incident occurred because one of the tournament hosts forgot to turn off a mod that removes Chun Li’s clothes.
Corner2Corner addressed the incident, stating that some stories have claimed it was the player’s fault, but that’s not the case. The host who had the mod installed was the one livestreaming the tournament.
They apologized for the incident and assured that the mod has been removed, guaranteeing that nothing like this will happen again:
