Mangaka Promotes his Ecchi Manga using Assassin's Creed Hype

Recently, Ubisoft announced its new game, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the first in the series set in Japan. The game has sparked controversy because one of the protagonists is Yasuke, a black man.

The criticism from players stems from the decision to feature Yasuke, a black man, as a protagonist in a game set in Japan, rather than a Japanese man. This has ignited a heated discussion on Twitter.

The Japanese presentation video for Assassin’s Creed Shadows currently has nearly 4,000 likes to 41,000 dislikes.

But do you know who has nothing to do with this controversy yet is capitalizing on the game’s hype to promote his work? Nogami Takeshi!

As you can see, in 2017, Nogami Takeshi drew the above-mentioned manga set in ancient Japan. But who is the girl on the cover? A female version of Yasuke? No, she’s his granddaughter.

The manga features supernatural elements like magical creatures and plenty of action with Yasuke’s granddaughter and another pointy-eared girl. It also includes a lot of ecchi content as the girls frequently show off.
