This documentary tells the story of how Nasubi was tricked into participating in a reality show in a social experiment that had irreversible effects on his life.

Susunu! Denpa Shonen (No Go On! Crazy Youth) was a Japanese social experiment reality show that had its contestants, usually fame-seeking comedians, completing outrageous challenges for money and prizes. Of the program’s many challenges, the most well-known is the Nasubi Prize Lifetime Contest.

At the time, Nasubi was an amateur comedian and college student, he auditioned through a lottery in a room full of fellow aspiring comedians for the chance to be on a yet-to-be-announced TV show.

Nasubi wins and gets her chance to appear on TV. But in what was believed to be preparation for the TV show, Nasubi was blindfolded and taken to a small room by the show’s producer.

When the blindfold was taken off, Nasubi was in a small apartment. Behind the cameras, the show’s producer told him to take off his clothes, all of them, and hand them over. Only then after being naked and trapped, Nasubi is told what the premise of the program is: ”Can a man live just by winning sweepstakes?” He laughed and the door was closed. What Nasubi didn’t know was that she would spend the next year and three months isolated from the outside world, competing for food, water and clothing.

For 355 days, Nasubi was forced to participate in various magazine giveaways for basic necessities, including food, while cameras that he thought were meant to document his experience actually broadcast his struggle for survival to people across the country.

And although Nasubi was told he could leave the apartment and end the game at any time, the comedian was determined to win.

To win the challenge and get out of the apartment, Nasubi had to successfully survive on the sweepstakes winnings and accumulate a million yen in prizes.

However, when Nasubi received the required prize money after almost a year and a half, he was forced to do it all over again in a cramped apartment in South Korea, after being tricked into thinking he would finally return home.

About his documentary, Nasubi says the film portrays his life, including the harsh experience of ”Prize Contest Live”, and how he is now involved in supporting the recovery of his hometown, Fukushima.

Through this film, he hopes that people around the world will focus on the current situation in Fukushima, and he would be delighted if his feelings for Fukushima are conveyed to people in the prefecture

The documentary covers the events of the experiment, in addition to personal interviews with Nasubi and the reality show’s producer, Toshio Tsuchiya.
