Itsuwari no Alice Wants Players to Pay for the Server

Itsuwari no Alice Wants Players to Pay for the Server

The official Twitter profile of the mobile game Itsuwari no Alice has revealed the monthly cost of maintaining the server and a condition that players need to fulfill to prevent the game from being terminated.

On July 15th, it was announced that the game would no longer receive new content. Now, after the latest maintenance on July 31st, a “server cost counter” and a “paid gold coin counter” have been introduced into the game.

The paid gold coin counter tracks how much in-game currency is being spent, increasing as players spend their gold. Itsuwari no Alice will apparently continue to operate under the condition that the paid gold coin counter does not fall below the server cost counter, meaning as long as the sales of in-game currency can cover the server costs.

The management team of Itsuwari no Alice publicly revealed the operational cost of the game for August on Twitter. This sum includes cloud server, server maintenance, chat system, and customer support expenses.

The total server cost for the gacha game for August turned out to be a significant amount of 1,956,331 yen, with the main expense being the cloud server fee.

Furthermore, starting from the July 31st maintenance, a “fundraising store” has been introduced in the game. This is a store where users can support the management team by spending their coins on items such as “fried chicken for the team’s dinner” and “enlargements of team members’ workstations.”

First Goal Achieved, What Lies Ahead?

And lo and behold, after the disclosure of how the game would operate now, thanks to the players, the game achieved the goal to function for the month in just 5 days. It seems that players are excited to keep the game up and running!
