Idol Performs Show for 1 Fan
Japanese Idol Industry shows us surprises and interesting cases to comment on, take this case, for example, where an idol named Yurina Ushio performed a show for just one lonely fan in her audience.
Idol Performs Show for 1 Fan
Yurina Ushio recently held a birthday concert, and she posted a video on her profile that has been viewed over 10 million times!
In her post, she says: “Sad news: The Idol who did a birthday concert, but only one fan showed up.” In the video below, we can see Yurina singing while the lonely fan accompanies her, waving his sticker.
The post went viral, as I mentioned, with over 10 million views and various reactions from the audience, such as the comments below:
“Remember, there will always be at least one person who will support you with all their heart.”
“Now, that’s a true otaku.”
“God bless that fan. I’m really proud of you for doing the show even though only one person showed up. You touched the hearts of millions around the world.”
“Having your idol all to yourself, literally.”
“Keep supporting your idol, even if it’s just for you. Keep dreaming on the stage, even if there’s only one fan in the audience.”
Idol performs show for 1 Fan… but is this the truth?
So, many people were really deceived by Yurina’s statement. Let’s set something straight: she indeed performed for a single fan in the audience, that’s true!
However, there’s more to the story. Her birthday concert did have an audience, as you can see in the photo below, showing many fans in the crowd:
So, what happened? In reality, that fan was the winner of a promotion that was held, and the prize was for him to have a mini-show with just him and Yurina, no one else.
So, it is indeed a fact that she did a show for one fan, but it was part of a promotion where that fan won the privilege. Her actual concert did have an audience.
Yurina posted that her regular show had fans in the audience, but people rarely read the other messages, so imagine how many millions out there now believe that she only had one fan in the audience throughout her entire show.
