Gojo VA Gets His Memory Wiped After Switch 2 Frustration
In Japan, it is actually quite common to participate in a lottery to be able to buy something. Take the Switch 2 as an example. It is being sold in limited quantities, and to give everyone a fair chance to purchase it, lotteries are usually held.
Those who are selected through the lottery will be able to buy their Switch 2 at launch. Those who are not selected will have to wait until more units are produced. Nintendo reported that it received far more requests than expected.
One of the people who was not selected is Yuuichi Nakamura, best known for voicing Satoru Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen. In a post on his Twitter, he said that he would block everyone who was selected to purchase the Switch 2.
And now comes the funny part! Masahiro Sakurai, the creator of Kirby and developer of the Super Smash Bros. series, posted that he had been selected in the Switch 2 lottery. Yuuichi Nakamura replied to his post simply saying, “Huh?”
Fearing Nakamura’s promise to cut ties with anyone who won the lottery to buy the Switch 2, Sakurai joked, “Quick, we need to use the memory-erasing light!” And guess what? Sakurai actually used it!

Sakurai posted a photo of himself using the memory-erasing light from Men in Black on Yuuichi Nakamura, to make him forget all his frustration about the Switch 2.
This joke quickly became a new Japanese meme, and now many fanarts of the situation are being created. For example, the creator of Pop Team Epic drew a fanart of the entire scene:
