Elden Ring Manga Goes on Hiatus for Author to Play the DLC
Nikiichi Tobita, the author of the manga Elden Ring: The Road to the Erdtree, announced that the manga will enter a hiatus starting July 19 due to the new DLC of the Elden Ring game from From Software.
One might think this was planned because of the DLC release, but in fact, the reason for the hiatus is that the author, Nikiichi Tobita, wants to play the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
Chapter 45 of Elden Ring: The Road to the Erdtree was recently published, accompanied by an announcement from the author explaining that there will be no new chapter next month because he will be busy playing the DLC. The announcement artwork even shows the author lying in bed.
Fans speculate that Tobita’s dedication to the game might indicate that he will include the DLC’s story in the manga. It’s interesting to note that not even the official manga author knows the content of the DLC.
Elden Ring: The Road to the Erdtree has captivated the Japanese audience, not only for telling the game’s story but also for the jokes inserted by Nikiichi Tobita, which have pleased many readers.
The Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, will be released on June 21.
