Recently, there was a special interview where it was revealed that the author of Kanojo Okarishimasu identifies with Kazuya, the protagonist of his work.

Reiji stated that Kazuya is a reflection of his personality, about this he says the following: ”Like Kazuya, there are things I can’t bear, no matter how difficult they are, like dealing with pain. I say what I want through Kazuya. As a result, readers tell me the story is funny and relatable, which helps me emotionally.”
As for Chizuru, Reiji had this to say: ”Chizuru, on the other hand, is naturally attractive. She is also a hard worker but definitely an unlucky girl. Despite this, she does not give up. I think the world can be cruel sometimes, and my stoicism is reflected in her.”
Those who follow the author of Kanojo Okarishimasu know very well that he has already demonstrated his love for the main heroine of the series several times, saying things like ”she’s my girlfriend”, and even appeared to be jealous of the character!
