Now we have a sort of chibi design for the characters, completely different from what we’ve seen when compared to the previous animes! Let’s see how fans reacted.

  • “Why is only the robot realistic?”
  • “Looks like The Powerpuff Girls. This kind of style does well with foreigners, so it’ll work out.”
  • “The character design in EVOL is really good.”
  • “Looks like the frustrated nerds who can’t enjoy themselves are freaking out, lol.”
  • “This reminds me of Space Patrol Luluco.”
  • “Oh, this is the same person who did character design for the Bleach anime.”
  • “What is this thing that looks like a poorly made cartoon?”
  • “This doesn’t make sense. It’s an anime full of dirty jokes, but with a design that seems aimed at kids.”
  • “Despite the style, it looks like it’ll have gore scenes.”
  • “Panty & Stocking?”
  • “It has a card game vibe.”
  • “Considering the level of this work, I think it’s fine like this.”

Aquarion: Myth of Emotions will premiere in January 2025, and Crunchyroll will be streaming the anime.
