Is the Mahou Shoujo anime genre dying?? A sub-genre of manga and anime where usually a girl has magical powers to fight evil. We have good examples of Mahou Shoujo works like Sailor Moon and Sakura Cardcaptor.
These magical girls end up getting their powers through some enchanted object like a pendant, a wand or a lasso, transforming these girls into formidable magical heroines.
An anime that explores the sub-genre of Mahou Shoujo a lot is the Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime where we can have a deeper view and see that each character can use their magical powers in the way they want.
Mahou Shoujo tends to be very positive and cheerful. Usually the characters fight for love, peace, hope and beauty, and never for negative things like revenge. Over time, the heroines learn the values of friendship and cooperation.
