53-year-old man resents his mother for throwing out his anime stuff
Shoji Kokami is an actor, producer and director and he also gives advice to people who need advice, people who write to him and such.
And behold, a story catches attention, a 53-year-old man who holds a grudge against his mother for throwing away his anime stuff while still in high school received advice from Shoji.
Shall we know his story?
This man starts his text by saying that he is 53 years old and is incapable of being nice to his mother because he still holds a grudge against her, that’s because she threw away his anime stuff when he was in high school.
He says that when he was young, he saved money to buy his figures and his anime DVDs, he worked part time so he bought his stuff with his money.
When he was in the second year of high school, his family decided to move out of the house, and he says that he packed his things carefully, but when he arrived at the new house, his things were gone.
He then went to ask his mother who said: “You have entrance exams next year, this is not the time to dedicate yourself to these hobbies”, our otaku’s father thought it was too much to throw away his things but the mother said: “With this kind of hobbies, you can’t relate to real women”.
He says he was shocked and that at that moment anger and sadness took care of him, he said he didn’t speak to his family for 3 months.
Currently 53 years old, he is married and has a good relationship with his wife and he is still an otaku “my love for anime has not disappeared as my mother wanted” and he says that his wife also likes anime.
He says that his parents are currently elderly and in a nursing home, he says that he still resents his mother to this day for throwing away his anime stuff that cost him so much.
He doesn’t like his parents, he doesn’t like visiting the old house, his mother considers him an ungrateful son but he thinks he’s more vindictive, and then comes the last message, this 53 year old otaku wants to stop feeling this grudge in his heart , and asks how he can stop feeling this grudge.
Shoji answered the man if he was honest with his mother, if he said he holds a grudge for that day, and also if you ask this question, if he does, then his hatred has already “taken root” and he will die with it.
