Most Insane Battle, Bikini Women VS Gundam

O Dia em que Mulheres de Biquíni Atacaram um Gundam

Bikini Women VS Gundam! Who Wins? Gundam: The Witch from Mercury was the first anime from the franchise I ever watched, and honestly, I found it kind of boring. But I decided to give Gundam another chance by watching the newest currently airing series, Gundam: GQuuuuuuX.

Apparently, after every traumatic or brutal episode, fans tend to recall other dark and disturbing moments from Gundam’s history—which still feels bizarre to me.

My whole life, I saw Gundam as just a kids’ toy, so I assumed the anime was child-friendly… until I watched The Witch from Mercury and saw the protagonist casually kill someone like swatting a fly.

And recently, while browsing Japanese forums, I came across people talking about a certain scene from Victory Gundam—sparked by episode 7 of Gundam: GQuuuuuuX.

Almost Naked Bikini Women VS Gundam Back in the ’90s

Victory Gundam aired in 1993 and finished in 1994 after 51 episodes, and episode 49 delivers one absolutely INSANE scene! According to an article I read, it’s considered one of the darkest episodes in Gundam history—though I’m not sure where it ranks.

So, what actually happened in episode 49 of Victory Gundam? According to a Japanese media article:
“In episode 49, ‘On the Angel’s Halo,’ we see one of the most controversial scenes in the series: protagonist Usso is attacked by bikini-clad women armed for hand-to-hand combat, known as the Neneka Squad.

They’re convinced by one of the villains, Katejina Loos, to fight Usso in bikinis to ‘distract’ him, but all of them end up being killed by the Gundam! Here’s a shot of the squad members below:

The power difference between a Mobile Suit and regular human beings is overwhelming, and the scene ends with the group’s complete destruction. Usso’s scream—’This isn’t war!’—resonates as a protest against the absurdity of the strategy. The squad leader, Neneka Nibro, keeps shooting until her final moment, when she’s cut down by a beam saber.”

INSANE!

You can check out the scene below:

Throughout most of it, Usso keeps questioning whether it’s really happening—if he’s actually seeing nearly naked women shooting at him—and then he starts killing them! I never imagined Gundam would include such outrageous scenes!

It really makes me wonder what else Gundam has delivered over all these years! What if they made a remake of this scene? With how much animation has improved, they could turn it into one of the most graphically intense scenes in anime history.
