These Are the Most Popular Hentai Categories in Japan 2024

Komiflo has released its annual ranking of the most popular hentai manga categories by region in Japan for 2024. Komiflo is a subscription-based service that allows users to read various chapters of hentai manga from different authors.

Since this is Komiflo’s own ranking, it only includes categories that are available on their platform. For example, while Netorare is known to be a very popular category in rankings from other services, it is rarely seen on Komiflo. As a result, Netorare is absent from this list.

These Are the Most Popular Hentai Categories in Japan 2024

The image below shows the ranking of the most popular hentai categories in Japan for 2024 by region. You’ll notice two names listed — the larger one at the top indicates the most popular category in that region, and the smaller one below it shows the second most popular category.

Even though the title mentions “2025”, the data is actually from 2024. It simply says 2025 because the ranking was published this year (2025).

So, what categories appeared the most in the ranking?

The “Ultimate Ranking” reveals the categories that ranked first the most often across all regions. We have Schoolgirl at the top with 18 appearances, followed by Married Woman, Small Breasts, Big Breasts, and Female Domination.

However, if we combine both 1st and 2nd place appearances, the ranking becomes:

• Schoolgirl – 25 appearances
• Small Breasts – 19 appearances
