Initial D Creator wants an Anime Adaptation of a Netorare Manga

We’ve talked a few times here about the manga Daredemo Dakeru Kimi ga Suki. This is a “Netorare Romantic Comedy” manga that started being published in 2023, written by Takeda Super. The manga has sparked many discussions due to its “netorare” theme.

The story follows a high school student who one day sees his classmate, Agawa Misaki, in a heated relationship with another student. From that point on, he becomes interested in her, leading to a mix of netorare and romcom situations.

Initial D Creator wants an Anime Adaptation of a Netorare Manga

In chapter 55 of the manga, various mangakas were invited to contribute illustrations and comments about the series. Most of the guests were adult artists like Terasu MC, who specializes in netorare, and Aiue Oka, known for hypnosis-themed works. However, one contributor stood out among the rest:

Shigeno Shuuichi, the creator of Initial D. He contributed his version of the heroine Misaki, but what caught everyone’s attention was his message:

“It’s extremely entertaining. I’d love to draw something like this, but I know I couldn’t pull it off. This is the pinnacle of romantic comedies of this era. For someone like me, who loves gyaru heroines and has a thing for thighs, this is absolutely perfect. I hope it gets an anime adaptation!!”

Amazing, isn’t it? Who would have thought that the creator of Initial D would hope for an anime adaptation of Daredemo Dakeru Kimi ga Suki. By the way, that cow at the end of the chapter saying something? That’s just the author of Daredemo Dakeru Kimi ga Suki expressing his gratitude.
