The decision allows her to prioritize recovery under medical supervision. Fairouz disclosed on her X (formerly Twitter) account that she has been dealing with PTSD for several months. Despite her dedication to meeting the expectations of fans and colleagues, she has decided to focus on her physical and mental well-being.

Fairouz stated that the cause of her PTSD is private and requested that fans respect her privacy by refraining from inquiries or speculation.

She expressed her apologies and frustration for any inconvenience caused to production teams and the fans who consistently support her work. Fairouz assured everyone that she is committed to recovery and will return stronger and healthier.

In 2023, Fairouz Ai voiced several iconic characters, including Kikoru Shinomiya in Kaiju No. 8, Belle Lablac in Bye Bye, Earth, and Hana Ayukawa in Negative Positive Angler. She also portrayed Panzy in Dragon Ball Daima and Kana “Kaanaa” Higa in OKITSURA: Fell in Love with an Okinawan Girl, set to premiere on January 4, 2025.
