Blue Archive: Official Illustrator Creates Adult Doujin of Her Character
Many gacha games often hire famous illustrators to create the designs for their new characters, which is why it’s common to see characters with different art styles across many games.
Unlike, for example, a console game like Persona 3 Reload, where there is only one illustration style, if you look at a game like Azur Lane, you’ll see various styles among the characters.
One of the games that does this is Blue Archive.
Blue Archive: Official Illustrator Creates Adult Doujin of Her Character
There’s a character called Endo Shimiko, whose visual design was done by the illustrator Ayamy, known for designing several Vtubers.
Well, recently, Ayamy became a hot topic because she also creates and sells hentai doujinshi online and at events, and she decided to make a hentai doujin of Shimiko…
Do you get what happened here? Blue Archive hired Ayamy to design Shimiko, and then Ayamy went on to create a hentai doujin of Shimiko and started selling it online!
It’s practically an unofficial official hentai of the character, since it was made by the same artist who designed her! This sent fans into a frenzy:
- “After all, doujinshi drawn by the official illustrator are the best.”
- “The management of Blue Archive is very lenient, aren’t they?”
- “Seriously? The official illustrator of Shimiko is releasing an unofficial doujinshi of her? I’m rushing to buy it!”
- “This is relatively common even in Japan.”
- “I was surprised that Shimiko’s official illustrator released a provocative doujinshi, but when you think about how she doesn’t get much official spotlight and her ‘mother’ is doing this for her neglected daughter, it makes total sense.”
- “It’s like she’s doing this kind of work out of financial necessity. That made me laugh.”
- “By the time I noticed, it was already sold out online.”
- “In Azur Lane, it’s relatively common for official illustrators to release 18+ illustrations or adult doujinshi of their own characters.”
