Genshin Impact: Tighnari’s voice actor will no longer voice the character

The Genshin Impact team recently announced that Tighnari’s English voice actor, Elliot Gindi, will no longer be voicing the character in the game. All this due to a sharing of some alleged screenshots containing the voice actor’s sexual misconduct with several fans.

Gindi said the screenshots are true, but he denies knowing his partners were underage. More than 50 of her fellow Genshin Impact voice actors expressed their condemnation and outrage over Gindi’s alleged sexual misconduct.

The development team is in discussion with the voice recording agency regarding the recast, and plans to gradually replace Tighnari’s English voice actor’s existing voice lines in the game in future updates.

A HoYoverse representative said they were working on an urgent solution with the game’s internal teams and external partners, including the voice studio.
