Seiyuu Ayaka Ohashi is 2 years without passing an audition

Seiyuu Ayaka Ohashi is well known for lending her voice to characters like Kurome from Akame ga Kill! and Masamune-kun’s Aki Adagaki.

On December 20th, seiyuu Ayaka Ohashi participated in a television program called ”Odoru! Sanma Goten!!” where she revealed the problems she has been going through with her work as a voice actress.

She said the following: ”Voice actors audition for main characters in anime productions. In these auditions, there is a rule by agencies that only certain members can pass certain auditions. I haven’t passed any auditions in the last 2 years”, here’s the consequence of the rule mentioned above by itself.

She went on to say the following: ”I received just under 50 opportunities this year…”. Another voice actor named Shotaro Morikubo was surprised by the number mentioned by her: ”Are there really that many auditions?”. The show’s host assured that 50 is a correct number, including talk shows.

It seems that passing an audition is no easy feat. It’s true that seiyuu Ayaka Ohashi has a few lead roles in anime, but many of them are sequels (Masamune-kun is an example).
