Seishun Buta Yarou’s Light Novel Ends This Year
It was announced that the Seishun Buta Yarou light novel will end this year, with the final two volumes, 14 and 15, being released in 2024, concluding Sakuta and Mai’s story.
Firstly, volume 14, titled Seishun Buta Yarou wa Girlfriend no Yume wo Minai, is set to be released on August 9, and the 15th and final volume, titled Seishun Buta Yarou wa Der Friend no Yume wo Minai, will be released on October 10.
Each of the two volumes will have a special edition that comes with a drama CD. The light novel began its publication in April 2014, when the first volume, Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl-Senpai no Yume wo Minai, was released.
The series then received an anime adaptation in 2018 with 13 episodes. In 2019, the first film of the series was released, adapting volumes 6 and 7 of the light novel. Years later, two new films were announced.
The first film premiered in Japan in June 2023, adapting volume 8 of the light novel. The second film premiered in December and adapted volume 9 of the light novel.
It was also announced that Seishun Buta Yarou will receive a new anime adaptation, adapting the university arc, so it is almost certain that the anime will adapt the entire light novel.
