TV Show Discovers that a Man was Keeping Otaku Girl in His House
TV Show Discovers that a Man was Keeping Otaku Girl in His House! Remember the anime HigeHiro? It was an anime that told the story of a high school girl who ran away from home and was living on the streets when she was found by the protagonist. He then decided to take her to his house and took care of her.
This is a fairly common story in Japan, where many girls run away from home and end up sheltered in the apartments of older men, which is a crime, and there have recently been cases of arrests related to this.
Today’s story is in a similar vein but with some differences.
TV Show Discovers that a Man was Keeping Otaku Girl in His House
It went viral on Twitter on July 10th and tells the story of when a TV show simply discovered that a tall and beautiful woman was living in a guy’s apartment. When he arrived with the TV crew, she tried to hide her face out of embarrassment.
During a show that consists of approaching people on the street and going to their homes to learn more about them, the program’s team encountered a 20-year-old man returning home after finishing his shift at a restaurant.
When approached, the man agreed to show his home to the show, and off they went. However, upon arriving at the house, they discovered that he was living with a beautiful woman.
There wouldn’t be any problem with that, a man and a woman living together, but here’s the twist. It was revealed that she had run away from home to bring “excitement to her life.” However, she is a NEET who spends a lot of time playing video games and sleeping.
It’s worth noting that the girl’s parents know that she ran away and is with the guy. It was also mentioned that they are not dating but are just friends living together.
At the time, the reactions from the Japanese public were diverse. There were comments saying that they were practically already a couple, others expressing envy and wanting to date a tall girl like her. Others were surprised to see a pure friendship between a man and a woman.
The guy mentioned that he had had a few girlfriends, but all of them broke up with him when they found out he was keeping this otaku girl in his house, unable to trust him despite his reassurances that nothing would happen.
It’s important to note that this is a case from 2018, and we don’t know their current status. This story resurfaced on Twitter and went viral again recently. It’s possible that they have actually become a couple or that they have separated.
