Anime Lycoris Recoil makes reference to the movie Stand by me in its Opening
The Lycoris Recoil anime is airing this season and features cute little girls killing heavily armed criminals with their immense skills and cuteness.
The anime became a topic because of its opening (which you can watch below).
At the end of the opening we can see that the two main characters of the series are walking together when they “kick” each other in the ass.

Some fans pointed out that this scene is exactly the same as the movie “Stand by Me” that came out in 1986, check out the comparison below:
References are not uncommon in the anime world and this is simply another case of that. Take, for example, Kaguya-sama’s anime, whose third season ended with the announcement of a movie.
During its 3 seasons, there are several scenes of Kaguya-sama that make references to famous movies and not necessarily Japanese movies.
