Yuu Kamiya, the author of No Game No Life took to Twitter on March 21 to express his dissatisfaction with the way some fans consume manga and light novels.
Some fans have the habit of only buying the volumes of a series when the story is already finished. The author of No Game No Life explained in a tweet that this practice is harmful for artists, as they don’t earn money until their stories are finished, and that this makes reprints unfeasible.
”Occasionally I see people say things like ‘I’m going to buy the whole series when I’m done, so finish it fast.’ It’s hard to explain why writers can’t stomach this method of purchase,” he wrote.
