This is the Amount of Time that Passed in these Animes
Have you ever wondered how much time passes within the storyline of an anime from start to finish? For instance, in the anime “Kimetsu no Yaiba,” how much time actually elapses from the first episode to the end? With that in mind, Japanese fans have created a list estimating the duration of time in some animes and mangas. While some of these estimates are based on observations and may not be entirely accurate, they’re still intriguing to consider.
This is the Amount of Time that Passed in these Animes
Summer Time Rendering – 3 days:
The anime Summer Time Rendering premiered in 2022 with a total of 25 episodes, and its manga spans 13 volumes with 139 chapters. The entire story unfolds in just 3 days! Seems like a short time for so much content, doesn’t it?
Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso – 10 months:
Although I haven’t watched it, I know that Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso is known for its emotional storyline. Based on the events shown, fans speculate that about 10 months pass from start to finish.
CLANNAD – 8 years:
I’ve only watched the first part of CLANNAD and never got around to watching After Story because I was warned it’s even sadder than the first part. Fan estimates suggest that the entire narrative of CLANNAD spans about 8 years.
Shingeki no Kyojin – 12 years:
In Shingeki no Kyojin, 12 years pass in the storyline involving Eren. However, if we consider the events dating back to ancient times, the timeline would be much longer.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure – the longest and shortest parts:
One fan noted that in terms of time within the story, the longest part of JoJo is the first, where 21 years pass, while the shortest part is Part 5, which occurs in just 9 days. Another fan added that from the beginning of Part 1 to the end of Part 6, 131 years pass.
Dragon Ball – approximately 33 years:
Another fan mentioned that, starting from the beginning of Dragon Ball to the end of the Buu Saga in Akira Toriyama’s original finish, about 33 years pass. With Dragon Ball Super, new movies, and the manga ongoing, that number has certainly increased.
What about you? Do you have an idea of how much time passes in any anime that we didn’t mention here?
