Japanese school loses students after increasing skirt size

Japanese school loses students after increasing skirt size, or at least that’s what the crowd is assuming is the reason for the drop in new students in the new year in Japan.

The administration of Instituto Shinei informed in December of last year that from April of this year, students will be wearing a completely new uniform.

But what was the old uniform? Well, come on, it was a blue jacket for both sexes, gray plaid pants and a gray tie for the men, and a gray and blue-green plaid skirt with a blue bow for the women. See below an image of the old female uniform of the Shinei Institute:

Now let’s talk about the new uniforms that have a slightly more behaved look, so to speak. See a picture of the new uniforms below:

It is often said that one of the factors that make a student want to go to a certain school is because of the uniform, in Japan the variety of uniforms is much greater and much prettier, so of course, there are those students who prefer to go to a school that has cute uniform.

And apparently this school has increased the size of the skirt that the students must wear for this year, we have already published here that Japanese schoolgirls like to wear short skirts.

Are short skirts a problem?

Many girls wore their uniforms in a very different way. Below you will see some images of students with their short, very short skirts, and this is probably the reason for the change in the design of the Shinei Institute’s uniforms.

Probably because of the uniform? The publication below shows the difference in the number of students last year for the number of students this year and attributes this to the change in skirts in the girls’ uniform.

Last year we had 419 candidates for 351 vacancies, this year there were only 271.
