Professional player Ryazo, known as one of the best in the world at Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, was unexpectedly banned after reaching max rank with Anila, a character widely considered one of the weakest in the game.

Even though he streamed the entire run and has a strong record at major tournaments, his ban sparked heated debates within the fighting game community.

The most likely explanation, according to the community, is that his rapid climb triggered the automated system, flagging his account for suspected “match fixing.”

Who Is Ryazo and Why the Ban Is Controversial

Ryazo is no ordinary player. He placed 3rd at the ARC World Tour Finals 2024 and reached top 8 at prestigious events such as Evo. This makes accusations of cheating highly unlikely.

Despite his competitive background, he has not yet been able to recover his account, raising concerns about how this might affect his esports career, as he also competes in other Arc System Works titles.

The situation gained so much attention that the online circuit Paragon hosted a memorial tournament in his honor to bring visibility to the issue.

Even Leona Renee, Anila’s voice actress, reacted with sympathy when hearing the news, showing just how widespread the case has become.
