Hitozuma no Kuchibiru Anime Review – Episode 1 Is Basically Just Hentai

When Hitozuma no Kuchibiru was first announced, it made waves online thanks to its provocative premise: married women going out drinking and cheating on their husbands. Naturally, that caught a lot of attention—and mine as well. So I decided to check out the first episode.

Let’s be clear: this review focuses solely on episode 1. I don’t know how the story will develop later, if at all, but here’s what the debut delivers.

Hitozuma no Kuchibiru

To be honest, I was expecting Hitozuma no Kuchibiru to have some kind of narrative—a conflict, a buildup, maybe even emotional tension. Instead, it plays out like a basic hentai short.

The episode opens with the protagonist returning home after buying alcohol. At his door, he finds none other than his aunt by marriage—his mother’s brother’s wife—named Yui.

She claims she came by to check on him at the request of his mother, but it doesn’t take long before the drinks start flowing and things escalate. Quickly. There’s no real delay or development—they’re in bed almost immediately.

Oh, and the censorship method? Beverage cans covering explicit parts.

So yes, he ends up sleeping with his uncle’s wife, and that’s pretty much the entire episode. There’s barely any attempt at storytelling, which might change in later episodes—assuming the other married women have more background.

Animation and Runtime

The animation is nothing special either. It’s fairly standard for a short-form adult anime. The good news? Each episode is only about 4 minutes long, so at least it doesn’t drag.
