Trigger has the rights of Panty and Stocking! During their panel at Anime Expo 23, Trigger Studio announced that they have acquired the rights to the series Panty and Stocking from GAINAX. What does this mean? It means that Trigger is now the owner of the series and can do whatever they want with it.

The studio announced the acquisition on their official Twitter profile, and they also took the opportunity to announce that they are producing a new anime titled “New Panty & Stocking.” A visual was revealed:

The new Panty & Stocking anime was initially announced at last year’s Anime Expo, but now we have this new visual and the information that the series is now 100% owned by Trigger.
Synopsis of the anime:
Heaven sends two lewd angels, Panty and Stocking, to rid the Earth of evil spirits. Panty is a sex-addicted girl, and Stocking loves sweets. On Earth, they are aided by Reverend Garterbelt, the See Through jeep, and their clueless dog, Chuck.
