Cosplayer Attacked by Stalker at Comiket

Cosplayer Attacked by Stalker at Comiket

This weekend, Comiket, one of the world’s largest otaku events, took place in Japan. Illustrators, artists, and cosplayers gather to sell their products and interact with fans. Unfortunately, the event was marred by an incident where a man attacked a famous cosplayer while she was taking photos.

Keekihime, a renowned cosplayer, was at Comiket dressed as Asuka from the anime Evangelion. For those unaware, it is widely believed that Keekihime is also Takanashi Kiara, the popular Vtuber from Hololive, as their voices are identical, and she has hinted at this in previous streams.

During Comiket, Keekihime was taking photos in her Asuka cosplay in the area dedicated to cosplayers and photographers. In a live stream on Twitter, she recounted what happened. Keekihime spent about two hours in the area, posing for photos without any issues. With the intense sun, she decided to take a break.

When she returned, the area was more crowded. After searching for a quieter spot, she found a place to continue taking photos. The first person to photograph her during this return captured the moment when a stalker rushed towards her. The photos below show the incident:

Keekihime explained that the man grabbed her completely (without touching intimate parts), and she started screaming for help. Fortunately, people nearby noticed and managed to pull him away.

Stalker Identified

Keekihime revealed that the man is a stalker who has been following her for years. She recounted a previous incident where he followed her at the airport, forcing her to report him to the police. She blocked him on social media, but he continues to believe that they are in love. The stalker has sent her love messages and attempted to kiss her on several occasions.

The Comiket staff spoke with the man, but he was released afterward. The police were contacted, but according to the cosplayer, they could not take action because she is not a resident of Japan.

The silver lining is that clear photos of the stalker, identified as “Rick,” have been taken. He is already known online for certain controversial content, and his photos are circulating on social media, with many people outraged by his continued stalking of Keekihime.
